| Reminder Notification Leadtime | This indicates how many days in advance you wish to receive your reminder. If you want a reminder on Tuesday for a game on Wednesday, then you should select a leadtime of 1, for example. |
| What will the Reminder Look Like? | The message will be short, to accomodate text messaging
limits on cell phones. Example: From: Lakers Reminders Subject: Hockey Reminder Message: Sq3 Prac on Wed, 12/17/2003 8:00 PM at LkAve Some cellular providers may insert additional control characters into the message. |
| When are Reminders Sent? | In general, reminders will be sent once a day at 3:30am. You should see them when you check your email or phone messages later in the day. If a server malfunction prevents a reminder from being sent on the correct day, it will be sent on the following day, or as soon as possible |
| How many reminders will I receive? |
Each reminder request you submit will generate only one reminder per
game or practice. For example, if you ask for a 2 day leadtime, you will
get a reminder two days before the event. You won't get a reminder the
day before or the day of the event. If you would like to get a reminder on every day that falls within a 2 day window, you should submit three separate reminder requests with leadtimes of 2, 1, and 0 days. |
| Multiple Reminders |
You should submit a separate reminder request for each team, email address, and notification leadtime combination you wish to receive. |
| Why didn't I receive my reminder? | You may have misspelled your email address. Try entering it again. Or, the server may have been down unexpectedly at the time reminders were to have been sent. In this case, you should see your next reminder at the appropriate time. Sometimes coaches will swap practices with another team, or the leagues will change the scheduled time for a game. Usually, the website Practice Schedule database will not have been updated for these last minute changes. As a result, no reminder will be sent. |

| Sending Reminders to a Cell Phone | If your cell phone has SMS text messaging, you can probably have reminders sent to it by using a properly designed email address. Samples for some popular cellular providers are shown below. |
